How to easily and quickly determine your correct ring size?
There are 3 methods to determine your ring size:
Measure your own ring,
Measure your finger’s circumference, and
Measure a ring size with a ring sizer or ring meter.
1. Measure your own ring to determine your ring size.
Take one of your existing well fitted ring and measure the inner diameter of your ring. This will be your ring size. For example, from image below, size 18 corresponds with a diameter of 18 mm.
If you don’t have a well fitted ring to determine the ring size, you can measure your finger’s circumference for the correct size instead.
2. Measure your finger’s circumference to determine your ring size.
Use a flexible measuring tape to measure the circumference of the finger that you wish to wear the ring.
If you don’t have a measuring tape, use a piece of paper or string which is no thicker than 0.5 mm, and then measure the length of the paper / string with a ruler as shown in the images below. This will be the circumference of your finger.
Use the ring size converter chart below to determine your ring size. Look for your measurement under “Circumference mm”.
3. Measure your ring size with a ring measuring instrument.
You can also buy a ring measuring instrument, so you can measure your ring size fast and easy. To better understand what a ring measuring instrument is, click here.
Tips to measure your ring size:
Do not measure any of your fingers when they are cold. Cold tends to cause your fingers to become smaller.
Likewise, it is advisable not to measure your finger on a very hot summer day or when you are near to a heat source like fireplace or heater.
If you have large knuckles, it is best to choose a larger size or measures your knuckle’s circumference instead.
It is advisable to measure your fingers at the end of the day.
Please note the ring size for each finger can be different.
If the ring comes with a gemstone, it is important to measure the size as exact as possible otherwise the ring will be loose.
